Audi offers no less than four electric vehicles in its segment, three of which are crossovers of varying sizes. The Q4 and Q8 e-tron models are available in a traditional boxy layout or swoopy coupe form that trades practicality for a more stylish design. When the Q6 e-tron debuted as a slot between the two, the Sportback version of its siblings was discontinued. That’s no longer the case, as Audi just announced the arrival of the Q6 Sportback e-tron.
The Q6 Sportback is technically the same as the Q6
Let’s start with what the Q6, SQ6 and Sportback e-tron have in common. Some of the current changes are just far-reaching
The 2025 Audi Q6 Sportback e-Tron has the same dimensions as its boxier counterparts. The biggest difference is the roof being 1.4 inches shorter than the A-pillar before retracting. To make up for the reduced space, the wheelbase is about half an inch wider to allow better maneuverability for rear passengers. Otherwise, it retains the same length and width as the non-sports backpack variety. Like the SUV, the Sportback uses Frequency Selective Damping (FSD) to maintain comfort and keep top height neutral.
That said, if you try to tell the difference in the room, you won’t be fooled. The Q6 e-tron has a lot in common with the SUV and shares many of the same features meaning the Sportback’s interior is almost identical.
